I am freaking out right now, I feel most comfortable posting on this board.
I am a nervous wreck right now.
After I got out of the shower, I felt some irritation under my arm. When I went to feel, I felt a small lump under my arm, closer to the inside of my body. I can see it from the outside and it hurts when I press it.
I know..first off, make an appointment with the doctor. But right now I am on the verge of losing it..my aunt had breast cancer and had both of her breast removed because of it.
Do you think this is something normal after having a baby? I heard of clogged ducts and stuff but this would be in the breast right? Not under the arm? I didnt breastfeed at all. What can it be besides of course what everyone fears the most? Anyone???

It could be a clogged duct or a fatty deposit....it could be a many things besides the worse...don't freak, just call the doctor for peace of mind

It can definitely be a clog of some kind. Don't freak out. You probably just have an ingrown hair or a pore irritation. Put a hot wash cloth on the area and see if the swelling decreases.

It could be a benign cyst. I know people who get them from caffeine. Go to a doctor, but there are lots of explanations besides what you are fearing...

I don't have any answers but try the warm compress and call the Dr.

is it under your arm, near your arm pit? could be your lymph nodes fighting off an infection (I used to get that when the cat would scratch me) or an ingrown hair. I wouldn't worry, but get it checked out.

I have this under my left arm. It's a gland and every now and then when my body is fighting off infection, it swells and hurts very bad.
