I am happy to announce....
I am officially done breastfeeding as of yesterday. Olivia will be 1 year old on Friday and have enough for the week. I am so glad it is over with and happy that it was a benefit for Olivia. Will post pics of her on Friday. BTDT moms who stopped nursing whats the best way to deal with sore boobies? TIA

I nursed Damien for 22 months an d the way I slowly phased it out I had no pain at all.

Congrats! What an accomplishment to make it that far and so good for baby. If you have pain, you can pump just enough to relieve it.

One year of breastfeeding is wonderful! You should be very proud!
I hope your boobies don't hurt too bad. When I dwindled down with pumping and then stop I'd say they hurt bad for a week but then it got much better.

Way to go. What a great thing you did for Olivia. You should be so proud for sticking it out. I only made it 7 months.

Congratulations!! What an accomplishment!! I slowly weaned them off replacing each feeding rather than go cold turkey. I know you're completely done so I'm not sure that would help. You can hand express if it it gets very bad.

I stopped cold turkey!
Get a good sports bra-
2 bags of Frozen peas
Motrin
2 ace bandages
Put sports bra on-bind up boobs- stuff the forzen peas or ice pack in- I iced as much as possible. Take motrin for discomfort.
Took me 48-72 hours to dry up. I had more milk than a cow- I could not wean my DD off.
Take some hot showers in between icing and let the milk leak out.
Good Luck.
ETS: Congrats on going a full year. What a nice accomplishment.

no pregnancy ladies going to wait till the fall. need to get this body into shape and give these boobs a rest. i cant jog becuase i would cause myself black eyes. i miss exercising since i felt like i was smuggling two sand bags. thanks on all the well wishes.

Congrats!!
I BF Julia for almost 12 months, I had to stop because she got an ear infection, and just didnt want to BF anymore, I was upset but happy at the same time since I didn't have to worry about how I was going to wean her.
It took me 4 days to get through the pain, I mostly had to pump a little of my left breast since she favored that one most. It really wasn't that bad.
I found wearing a tighter bra helped too.
