I am spotting - Updated in first post

I noticed a little brown discharge last night and DH convinced me it was my eyes playing tricks on me.

But then I had some this afternoon too - on a mini pad and when I wiped.

I am a little crampy too, which I know is not good from my past miscarriage experience and from online reading.

I am freaking out and so sad/scared about what this could mean. I am six weeks and up to this point have had good beta numbers.


Please keep my in your prayers / thoughts.

I am calling the gyno's office tomorrow. I guess I will go to work, but will leave if they can fit me in.

Hi all - thanks so much for the
- I think they worked! I had an ultrasound and we saw the yolk sac/fetal pole/ and heard a heart beat. Not the strongest one, but I'll take what I can get.

The doctor said he saw a clot around the placenta which is probably why I am spotting. I was measuring a few days less than what I am and said I will know more next week at my next sono.

I am so relieved!!! I have the biggest headache right now - probably all that stress.

I spotted at 5w5d and now I am almost 29 weeks. I hope everything works out.

I hope and pray that all is ok...

ETS: I just checked the calendar... When I was 2 weeks and 1 day (I just checked the calendar to be 100% accurate), I bled. This was no brown blood. This was full on blood. I didn't lose any lining or anything, but I def lost a few tablespoons of blood on the first day, then a few teaspoons on the next 2 days.

Lots of people spot in good pregnancies. Imagine all that is going on inside of there-stretching, tearing etc. If youyr hcg is good you are probably fine. How is your progesterone. If it is below 20 I would ask for progesterone supplements. GL

I spotted for the first 9 weeks of this pregnancy. Please stay positive (I know, easier said than done).

I spotted too and I'm now almost 38 weeks pregnant. From my understanding brown blood is old blood and is common.

well I can tell you that I had that during my 1st and once during my 2nd trimester. Keep an eye on it but I am sure it is nothing. Brown is good. Bright red may not be good.

I hope that everything is ok. They say brown discharge is ok - I had bright red bleeding twice and everything wound up being fine.

I spotted at around 5 weeks and again at 7 weeks. The fist time it was bright red blood. the second time it was dark red and then brown. I also had slight cramping. I am now 31 weeks pregnant. Spotting can be totally normal. Try not to worry too much.

Also- I didn't see if anyone mentioned it.... but cramping is TOTALLY normal in the first trimester.
