Re: i am the victim of identity theft
While I know it is a complete PITA, the good thing is, those charges can be removed very easily with a signed & notarized affadavit saying that you did not make those charges. Tailand is a very common place for fraudulent charges to occur, and banks and card companies are aware and see this every day.
It seems it wasn't identity theft, which is also good. It was just fraudulent charges. Just make sure that over the next several months, you moniter your credit report and make sure that new accounts havn't been opened in your name. The fraud alert with all 3 bureaus is a good deterrent.
