I babysat a child last night with the WORST separation anxiety ever...
...and they want me to sit again.
Moms who have babies like this, my heart goes out to you!!! Johnny never went through it...(but he's difficult in other ways, lol).
I watched a 13 month old boy and 2 year old girl. The girl was fine. But the boy screamed for 2 hours straight..nothing I did worked. He actually cried himself to sleep and refused his bedtime bottle.
The mom warned me he has the worst anxiety ever. God, it was awful!!!!
I wonder when that phase passes??? Poor kid!

i just sat for my nephew on monday and he had bad seperation anxiety too.. He just stood by the door screaming and stomping his feet.. luckly my sis came back 20 mins later.. of course he was calming down by then by hugging his big sis.
ETA: nephew is 18m old, but this has just started a few weeks ago.

I just never witnessed something like it. He goes to daycare and is fine there she said...but with new sitters, or anyone but mom and dad he is beside himself. I mean gagging, screaming, almost vomiting from crying.
I am scared to babysit them again!!

You just described my son whenever we are in the car for over 30 minutes...
