I can't believe I'm writing this-Wal-Mart incident.
I've read all the stories on here about crazy people opening their big fat mouths but have never experienced myself. Well I just feel like I experienced the Twilight Zone. I still can't believe this happened.
So I decide to be brave and go to Wal-mart to get a toy for a gift and some bread for dinner. I had fed Hudson on my last errand and figured I had at least an hour. Well I get into Wal-Mart and he's fussy and crying on and off (nothing new, he's got reflux, he's never happy). I get my bread and go look for the toy. They don't have what I want so I have to pick something else. Then I decide to grab some picture frames since I never get out to run errands and a few things for V-day for Miranda. All and all I was probably in there less than 30 minutes. Anyway Hudson is crying in his car seat. I'm trying to rock him a little and talk to him, telling him we're almost done. I'm at the register unloading and paying and he's screaming his head off. I go to grab my bags and this woman standing at the next register (that's not even open) with a cart full of stuff asks the cashier if she's done with me because she needs to confront me. Ummm OK? I think maybe she's some stupid survey woman but confront is an odd choice of words. Well she meant exactly that, she wanted to confront me. She proceeds to tell me that my baby has been crying for 15 minutes without being comforted and that she is and RN and that is unacceptable. A baby cannot cry for more than 7 minutes. I said to her that this is my second baby and I think I know what I'm doing. (PS He was not crying for 15 minutes straight). She says clearly I don't and she doesn't think I am fit to be a parent. I tried to let it go. The cashier had called a manager over to take care of this woman. He comes over, asks what's going on and I said that this woman was harassing me. Well she goes "It's now been 18 minutes and you still haven't comforted him". Well I lost it. I screamed at her "If you want to come to my house and take care of my baby that has acid reflux and basically never stops crying then be my guest. Until then BACK THE FU** OFF!" I stormed out of there crying because I was so upset. I go through so much with my son and trying to juggle a 3 year old. If this woman only knew the strength it took for me to even go to WalMart knowing it would probably end in a meltdown of some sort. Anyway this kind woman came out to my car and offered to help me get my bags in and gave me a hug and said I'm doing a great job and more moms need to help moms out not accuse them of such things. It's nice to know good, non crazy people exist.

She is so F cking LUCKY that I was not in the vicinity of her "confrontation" with you. Actually I guess I am because I would be in jail right now.
I have heard a lot of things on here but that one takes the cake. I guarentee that MS. RN DOES NOT have children.
OH, I am SOOO Pizzed for you right now!

Re: I can't believe I'm writing this-Wal-Mart incident.
oh... my....god... you've got to be kidding me!!!!!!!!!! That is so rediculous that the woman really felt that it was necessary to say something being that she is an RN. If she really was an RN she should have realized that maybe there are medical conditions which are causing this. My baby had colic and reflux and i totally understand where you are coming from. Im sure of it that you are doing a wonderful job as a parent and don't let a woman like that drag you down. Good for you for telling her to F off. That was great that you stood up for yourself like that! Im proud of you!

What a moron!!!!!! I am so glad that you gave her a piece of your mind. She sounds like she has a few screws loose. Hopefully after you left someone else told her what an azz she is. And it's nice to hear about the wonderful lady in the parking lot.

Re: I can't believe I'm writing this-Wal-Mart incident.
WHAT? just because she's an RN (no offense to RNs of course!) she's allowed to judge? Until she's in your shoes, she can not judge! If I ever witness this, I would give the crazy lady a piece of my mind!
I am soo sorry you had to experience this! Unbelievable!

Re: I can't believe I'm writing this-Wal-Mart incident.
She's a loon. And let's say that he was crying that long - why was she following you through the store timing you???? weirdo.
You are a great mom and don't let anyone get you down. There are such craaaazy people out there that don't know how to mind their own business.
I HATE to hear when things like this happen to parents. I know how crazy people are though. It's actually more scary than anything.
