I can't believe it's been a year
one year ago, on a similarly cold and wet day, one of my closest friends was killed by a hit and run driver. she was beautiful in every way. and she is remembered every day.
and while we never forget her, we will NEVER EVER forget the coward who left her to die in the middle of the street. who drove away while she layed on the cold hard and wet asphalt in her last moments of life. alone.
and I hope with all my heart that YOU, person who took her from us, remember that day too. remember what you've done. I hope you know that while her story has long faded from the tv and print news, that we think of YOU every day too.
and while you have not been brought to legal justice, I can only pray that Dostoevsky was right about human guilt. I hope YOU never forget what you did. or who you took away.
If you google her name today I hope you see this. Natalie Assee. I hope you see this and KNOW that I remember YOU. and we will not let you forget what you've done.

Everyone gets what is due to them in time. In this life or the next.
That person is out there and must know that.
I'm sure they live in fear everyday of this life and will continue to do so, knowing that at anytime evidence could lead authorities in their direction.
And that's just in this life.
They'll get what's coming to them.
