I can't deal with this!

I don't know how I'm going to make it working until the end. I htink I may leave work soon, and that would mean I am unpaid for the rest of the day, because i would prefer to use any vacation time for when I'm out with baby ness. I just can't work full days or full weeks anymore. This sux.

Re: I can't deal with this!

At 36 weeks I was already considering working half days. I was planning on leaving at 38 weeks anyway, but I was so tired and even sitting in front of the computer all day was getting to be too much (combined with the 20 trips to the bathroom Chat Icon ) I didn't because week 37 was Thanksgiving week, so I figured I could suck it up since it would be a short week. My contractions started the day before Thanksgiving - at 37 weeks and I delivered at 37 1/2 weeks.

If you are that tired and can swing it, take some time off now - you won't regret it.Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Just go home, I dont see anyone not understanding your need to rest

Re: I can't deal with this!

I'm getting there too. I had a little meltdown yesterday. I was doing so well and all the sudden it hit me that this is getting hard. Plus, it would help if I slowed down (I have been at my office late every night so I'm not just doing 9 hours, I'm doing 12 with a total of 3 hours commuting). Chat Icon

Re: I can't deal with this!

I complelely feel your pain. I don't work in front of computers but I just couldn't do my work anymore either. I gave up last week once my doctor told me it would be a good idea for me to stay home at this point and I said OK don't have to tell me twice. I am sooooo uncomfortable even at home so I just imagine what you are feeling at work at this stage. If you can afford to I'd definitly say take a break at this point. Or even see if you can 1/2 days or work at home and hopefully baby will be here soon. Feel better Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: I can't deal with this!

i really don't think you are being a wuss - you've just had an amazing pregnancy so far and this exhaustion is taking you by surprise b/c you weren't expecting to feel bad.

you are close to the end, less than a month a way, no wonder you feel beat!

take it as easy as possible... is there anything you can work out with your boss? maybe work from home a little?

Re: I can't deal with this!

I'll have to talk to Victor. I definitely can't work from home, but I'm sure my boss would understand my cutting my hours- he's actually pretty good in that sense. I just need to make sure financially it's OK.

I was miserable at 30 weeks, so I can relate. Take the time now, you'll need your strength to push out Max Power.

I'm only 9 weeks, but the more I read the more I realize that I won't make it to the end! Can you do maybe two more weeks and then take some time off? Maybe if there was an end in sight you'd feel better? I've also heard that that time on your own before the baby comes is invaluable in helping you get everything ready and taking some time to relax!
