I can't stop worrying
I'm only 4w3d and freaking out over every little twinge, cramp, burp, fart - you name it, I'm freaking about it.
I know that I should try not to stress, but I can't help it. I'm driving myself crazy.
I'm having some wetness and keep running to the bathroom to check. How the hell am I going to make it another 36 weeks?

Re: I can't stop worrying
I miscarried my first pregnancy, so with this one, I was totally jittery too. The thing that helped me - and this is going to sound totally insane! - is to trust your body and to put your faith in your little one. I kept telling myself not to underestimate this little thing inside of me - it wants to live and it will do everything it can to - and your body wants to do this and do it right.
I hope you find a way to stay calm! Good luck!

Re: I can't stop worrying
You'll get through this- I guess it prepares us for the rest of our lives that we'll be worrying!!
I had cramping from 5dpo pretty much through the 1st trimester! At times it'd be so bad I'd swear I was going to miscarry! I also remember, running to the bathroom a million times a day thinking I was bleeding only to find it was the inevitable flow of discharge that comes with being pregnant!
Stay Positive and try not to stress!!

Re: I can't stop worrying
Do you have reason to be worried?
I didn't worry until I had bleeding. Then I started freaking out. After my doctor said everything was ok, I haven't really been worried since.

Thank you ladies!
I have no reason to be worried - no spotting, strong beta on Thursday.
I'm just a worrier by nature
This is my first and I'm just so worried that something will go wrong.

I feel the same way and this is my second pregnancy! I have a 17 month old and I'm still so nervous. You'll settle down after the 8 week and 12 week appointments.

We've definitely all been there. It will get better and better with time, but the worry will never completely go away. Just try and hang in there.

Re: I can't stop worrying
Try to switch your worried feeling to a feeling of comfort. All these little "symptoms" you are having are confirmation that things are happening in there and that's a good sign. Although so tiny, there is a lot going on and a lot that your body is responsible for right now.
I'm guessing that because you are so early, you may not have told many people. I know this is a helpful site to get advice but as soon as you bring your mothers and sisters and aunts and cousins and friends into light, you will have an endless encyclopedia of personal information, experiences and advice. The more former pregos I added to my "team" the more understanding and reassured I was of everything going on.
This is only the beginning, you've got a way to go! It does get better and from what I hear, it will continue to get better.
And don't forget about your dr. Call you dr. for anything. That's what they are there for. They have someone on call all the time. No question is too silly. My one friend said it best when I got to her in my round of "is this cramp normal" calls. She said you can hear it from me, your sister or your mom but you are not going to rest assured until you hear it from your dr. so call your dr. I did and it was what I needed even though the nurse told me exactly what everyone had just said.
Check with your insurance company too. I just registered for a healthy pregnancy program with mine where I now have access to a 24 hour prenatal hotline to speak to a doctor or nurse anytime I need.
Ooh, that was a long post! Hope it helped! Congrats and good luck!

that's what my mom tells me now that i'm pregnant. my mom has 4 kids and the baby is "28" and she still worries aobut all of us!
Seriously though, all the cramping is normal. i cramped most of my first trimester and now that i am into my second, i still get it occasionaly. i find drinking water helps... cramping can be a sign of dehydration.
My OB's rule of them was "everything is probably fine" unless you're bleeding and/or have excruciating pain.
GOOD LUCK!

Re: I can't stop worrying
For all three of my pregnancies, I was sure that every twinge meant something awful and I constantly ran to the bathroom to make sure I wasn't bleeding or anything. You'd think by the third I would've relaxed! I didn't stop worrying until I was out of the first trimester, I think it's totally normal to be nervous.

Re: I can't stop worrying
I think the worrying is normal. I am 12 weeks and still worry, BUT my worrying lessens up a little as time goes by... I'm sure it will never go away completely, but as you keep seeing the healthy heartbeats and movements on the sonos, it provides reassurance.

Re: I can't stop worrying
I think worrying in the beginning is normal. My first time pg, I had a miscarriage so this time around I worried alot until each dr apt then I would relax for a few weeks. Once I finally started feeling the baby move I stop worrying cause I constantly felt her moving. I know its hard, but try not to worry so much. I'm sure everything is just fine.
