It's so incredibly reductive and degrading to tell people to get over it and that people are just being sore losers. There are millions of people in this country right now - women, people of color, Muslims, LGBTQ people, Jews - who are legitimately afraid. There have been hundreds of reports of hate-motivated attacks and incidents in the 6 days since the election. THAT'S what people are protesting. That the president elect has normalized this behavior and this attitude among Americans.
Don't tell people to 'get over' their very legitimate fear. Don't.
It's the absolute epitome of privilege to be able to say to someone that they need to get over being afraid. And it's gross.
what are they afraid of??? Why are Jewish people afraid? Why do people compare him to Hilter?? That is ridiculous.
Here is why they keep making the comparison.
Hitler and Trump's Rise to Power
Another article written at the same time they were trying to bring him down. Would you like to get into the fake stories about the women now and the women who retracted her rape story too?
gee, i wonder why she retracted her story? trump wouldn't have paid her off, would he?
Probably because she knows it would have been thrown out like it was the first time she tried to prosecute him. All looking for their 15 minutes of fame. It all fell flat.

Yeah I'm sure Watters World segment on o'reillys show will actually approach and interview anyone normal. You only know and see what they want you to see. That's why it's good to flip around channels and hear it all and also read more than one or two publications online. It's sad we have to do that but we must. It's also good to brush up on the opposing views too. That's why many here are very informed - they have checked out numerous sources and are aware of all sides. It's clear others have only exposed themselves to one angle (I've seen it here for both trump and Hillary). It's confirmation bias.
Not sure if this was to me but I had the TV on almost 24/7, every.single.channel for months about this election. It was not Watters World, but I do love him, these were regular reporters out there that actually vetted their interviewies and they still acted like 5 year olds. The other ones had brain freeze as they really don't know anything about this election but the rumors that are spewed around. I read one here yesterday that Trump started with 14 million from his father. It was 1 million and he has said it over and over. If you watched the debates and news, you would have heard it from the horses mouth.
1 million loan, plus tens of millions inheritance when his dad died, plus an already flourishing real estate corporation that he also inherited. These items are well documented.

Honestly. Truly. We have no idea what trump actually believes in or wants to do or plans to do. I really want to know. I think this is why we are forced to look at the company he is keeping, which starts with the despicable Vice President-he is a truly frightening man. Then we just go on down the line (Rudy Giuliani I think is really suffering from a mental illness and I feel for him, a right wing anti Semite, and the list goes on). So we have no real idea if he is a known anti Semite, etc. but come on-the company you keep and being so secretive. Not so hot.
and Hillary was a prize?

STARTED with 1 million. How many times have you heard people say 14 million? Just like the immigration statement he made. No one was including the "2-3 million CRIMINALS". People hear and they run with it. Hence the fear people are projecting.

Re: I feel like I am in the twilight zone
I really can't believe people on this thread are questioning the fear of others.
I'm not going to comment if someone is uneducated or doesn't know history 101, but there is an obvious and serious lack of critical thinking skills.
By one simply saying I don't see the parallels and Trump is not against Jews and then saying that's it, thrown in with a few !!!!! shows that someone hasn't really thought about this.
I'm starting to think some people on this thread have white robes and pointed hats in their closets...

Did you read my post? Here. How about this AS A START: https://www.buzzfeed.com/tasneemnashrulla/racist-incidents-after-trumps-victory?utm_term=.kq6gO9p0kr#.pnR1EBqM7R
An Indian actor posted on twitter that he was accosted in a bar in NYC and called slurs, and the men doing so had to be forcefully removed by the bouncers.
A woman I personally know was chased down in her car on LI by a man who then puled up beside her and starting yelling obscenities at her because she has a Clinton sticker on her car.
A friend of mine's sister, who is Latina, had her car vandalized in Harlem.
If I kept going, it would take all day. And that's on the ground level.
Gay Americans are concerned their right to marry will be revoked. Jews are concerned that an antisemite was appointed chief counsel. Muslims are concerned they will be deported.
Should I continue?
I'm sorry, have you missed the news about the man beaten up because they assumed he voted for Trump. Do you easily forget all the people that got paid $1,500 and an iphone to start violence at Trump rallies?
WRONG. That video of the man being beaten up for allegedly being a trump supporter was because of a CAR ACCIDENT. Media twists things both ways.
And even if you were correct, you are comparing ONE incident to HUNDREDS that have happened in the name of Trump.

Don't tell me as a Jew that my fear is ridiculous.

That's from May. It's one example. There are dozens of ways that Trump's campaign was run in a similar way to Hitler's. Dozens.
He is not against Jews...listen I'm done with you ladies...I don't care what you say anymore
Ignorance is bliss

Yes, I am fully aware of how and when he got beat up. That makes it better? SMH
Most violence that has occurred (not all of course) were HRC supporters. There will always be violence on both sides. Trump just didn't pay people to incite it over and over.
