I bought new jeans about a month ago from Lane Bryant, and yesterday, the button just randomly fell off. I tried contacting the store, and they won't get back to me. Whatever. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I cannot sew well at all, and I'm positive the button will just fall back off if I do.

Do I just bring the jeans to a seamstress and ask him/her to sew the button on? Am I supposed to bring a button with me, or do seamstresses have jean buttons? I don't have the button anymore.

Am I supposed to make an appointment?

Sorry this is so ridiculous. My mom usually sews stuff for me, but she is rather sick right now, and I don't want to ask her.

My dry cleaner does alterations and I've had buttons pop off that he replaced. Jeans aren't as easy as other pants so yes, I'd call a tailor.

Try your/a dry cleaner and they should have buttons. Chat Icon

(I'm lazy Chat Icon and have my dry cleaner repair all buttons/snaps, etc. )

I've always taken mine to the dry cleaner.

I sew.
Buttons on jeans is tough - you need a thicker needle and a thimble and also heavier thread that won't wear away easily.

Definitely take them to a dry cleaner that also does alterations. Easy fix.

Dry cleaners put a new button on my husband's jeans. I brought the button but they used their own.

Have you ever actually put a button on? It's very easy: needle in, needle out, needle in, needs out, etc. Give it a try! :)
