I hate Avis car rental
so dh had to drive his mom back from Florida since she was not allowed to fly home so he flew there and rented a car from Avis to drive home
they told him he had to have the car back by 1pm so after driving 16 hours he came home took a nap then got up showered and took the car back at 12:45pm ....they said it was due in by 12:15pm and chargedn him an extra $100
I am FUMING RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!they said 1pm not 12:15

did he pay it? i would fight it - there is no way i would sign anything giving them authoirzation to charge me an extra $100.

I agree--we just got back from FL and rented from Avis and we had the times in the contract. If that 1/2 hour bumped him over into the next 24-hour period, he would be charged an extra day.

when they made the reservation they said drop off at 1 and the same when they picked up the car...drop off at 1
I know should have read the contract but both said 1pm .....they didnt even need the car after 6am if they knew it was 12:15 they would have dropped it off at 12:15
