I'm not sure if Time Warner supports your area but they have an awesome deal online. All 3 services (cable, phone & internet) with a year of free showtime for $99 for first 12 months.

Did you have a promotion that recently expired? Mine went up less than $2, but that was before the whole Scripps ordeal. Mine only went up that much when my introductory pricing expired.

If you call and tell them you are switching to Fios they should bring your rates down.
Worked for me on a few occassions.
BUT at this point- i don't even think cablevision is worth it anymore....
It's not even the money at this point- it's the principle.

Yeah I wouldn't doubt that they know exactly where Fios TV is available and where it's not and that is why they woulnd't deal with you.
For example it's a known fact that you can't get it in Brookhaven.
We just got Fios down our street finally- and Cablevision did lower our bill like $40 a month or somethign when I called to cancel.
But again- I am thinking I want to switch anyway at this point...

Your phone number can stay with you. That bill was passed a few years ago. Your email will definitely change, though. That's why it's nice getting a non-Internet provider email, like gmail. That way, you can change providers whenever you want and your email won't change.

Def retention dept--they worked a miracle with us.. Seriously be nice. However it may not work if Fios is not available in your area....
