I have a real issue with...
people who post personal relationship issues as their facebook status.
This guy from high school friended me and we kind of knew each other back then, but weren't really friends per say, and every day, the guy has some nasty message about his wife as his status.
I mean, I know that they had a huge fight last night because he stayed out too late, and now I know that they made up, but after long talks and apologies.
I know that she thinks he plays too many video games.
I know all about this guy's relationship and it creeps me out.
I cannot even fathom why anyone would post that information as a status update?
I'm thinking I might unfriend him.

I agree.
I can't believe some of the things I see posted on FB.
I think a lot of people just have way too much time on their hands and forget in the heat of the moment that everyone can read their private business.

I mean, I don't even know this guy's wife, but i feel terrible for her because it's so disrespectful of him to air his dirty laundry about her publicly.
I would die if my husband ever did that. He would die if I ever did that. Some people are just ridiculous. I think I'm going to go unfriend him.

People are ridiculous... I have a girl in my office who continuously posts about the ABORTION she had (3 wks ago!) and the guy she broke up with which triggered said abortion (side note: he was on parole, no job etc. but for the 1st 11 wks of PG she thought he'd be a dream partner  ). Talk about personal!!!

I post personal stuff. Not really dirty laundry though. DH is on my FB so If i did write something about him, he'd see it. I don't b*tch about him behind his back though. I mostly complain about work or the weather rather than him

I have a young, gorgeous, single friend whose posts are ALWAYS about finding love, losing love, hating love, loving love, being ready for love, not looking for love, letting love find you, blahblahblah. OMG every guy we know that reads her stuff is like RUNNING, not walking, the other way!!!!
I have to hide her now, with Valentine's Day approaching she'll be in rare form

there are a few people like that, in my family. because they are family, i don't want to deal with unfriending them... so i just hide EVERYTHING they say
but the abortion status... yes, that takes the cake.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I post personal stuff about me, I complain, I do all that stuff. But it's as if you're sitting in this guy's livingroom in between him and his wife. It's SO awkward!

Seriously. I work with a person who writes really stupid things as her status about how miserable she is at work. She writes about her boss. She writes about the "heifer sitting behind her" and all of this is during work hours. Why not say "Fire me please?"

Most of the time I would say to keep all of this off facebook but I do have a male facebook friend who looks to the same group of girls for marriage advice a lot. He's fairly recently married and he makes it clear that the adjustment is not easy. I see it as him trying to make it work and he relies on these girls to help him figure things out. He is never disrespectul about his wife but he does come out and say that it's been a rough first year of marriage. There is something about the way he does it that seems very innocent and not malicious.

I agree... my sister does this a lot, but it's about her relationship with me and our family, not her boyfriend. It's embarrassing to have that all out there in public, and even worse to see her friends commenting on how they agree with her. They don't even know the whole story and it is upsetting.
I will occasionally post something about DH that I am "mad" about, but not really, like his snoring, but I'd never post details about our relationship. That's not what FB is for, and it's incredibly rude and demeaning.

I really don't understand what some people are thinking with the crap they write.
I have a fcbk friend who was making snide comments about DH and his family and then I finally accepted her friend request and saw it. And when her friends "Like" her status and agree with it when they have NO idea what its really about p!sses me off. I am having a hard time not saying anything, but it goes back to not airing our family's dirty laundry for practically stranger to see.
