I have advice for first time mommies....

Make sure you like your L&D nurse!!! I loved mine she was amazing, but my BFF hated hers and it made for a miserable delivery experience. Anyone else??

Re: I have advice for first time mommies....

Question though- do you really have a choice?
I thought they were just kind of assigned to you when you came to into L&D no?

I went for a prep for childbirth class on Sunday and the coach said that if you dont like the nurse to say something and they will change for you. She said don't feel weird just say something

NO you have every right to request a change to someone else. It's actually your right as a patient. HTHChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

That's awesome! I had a really great nurse 12 years ago when I had my daughter. I didn't know you could ask for someone else though. Good to know this time around. :)

Thanks for the advice!

ITA! My nurse for my c-section was incredible! I was literally going to have a panic attack and die and she calmed me down and made my experience so great!

I LOVEDDD every nurse that was involved. Seriously, they were the nicest people. Even DH had a great time with them and made us feel so comfy and calm through the whole process.
