Re: I have been holding this in all day
She probably did it for 2 reasons...
1. It was a racial thing.
2. It was a pack mentality....all those kids....they turn into a mob.
I would have done the same thing, only I would have pushed that little bia tch out of the way!!!!!!

Re: I have been holding this in all day
I'd just like to add that reverse racism really upsets me. It just seems like there's more tolerance for it. It's really annoying.

What was worse, is that all you heard when she said that to me, was "Ohhh snap", or "Me too". They were egging her on.

What are parents teaching their kids nowadays? I know it's not any different from the past...but come on...quit playing the race card...
And by the way...I'd throw the coffee too...while in my car...in drive...

Re: I have been holding this in all day
i think it was more disrespect and trying to get a rise out of her friends than it was racial. either way, the ignorance and stupidity that spews from kids today really blows my mind.
sorry you had to start off your morning like that Holla... and without coffee too!!!

Re: I have been holding this in all day
I am sorry that happned to you - must have been so scary!
I actually got my *** kicked in high school for defending myself.
I went to a all girls school in Jamaica Estates which is a really wealthy area if you stay on the right side of Hillside Avenue. Down the road in Jamaica there is a public junior high. Yes, I got beat up by a younger girl!
We took the public bus home from school and the bus stop is on the other side of Hillside Ave in Jamaica. I remember this like it happened yesterday. It was a Friday and I stayed late at school for a newspaper meeting. Then a friend and I left school and were waiting at the bus stop (like 4:30pm). A bunch of african american kids walk by (boys) and one of them start taunting us telling me I liked one of the guys in their group. My friend and I did not say a word. We just stood there and they passed. Then 5 minutes later a big black girl comes back and asks me why I made a certain arm movement. I had no idea what the heck she was talking about and I said that I didn't do it. She asked me about 5 more times and I still kept saying that I didnt do anything (which I didn't). Then she got the boy, brought him back to me and asked him if I was the one who made the arm movement. He said I was. So she asked me again, and I was fed up and replied, "no, but what the f**k if I did."
With that, I saw her arm raise up and all I did was cover my face while she beat the crap out of me! We were standing outside of a Century 21 and someone finally came out and dragged me into their office. I was just lucky she didn't have any rings on.
Soooo, from my past experience, I would probably not say anything and get away as fast as I could!

Re: I have been holding this in all day
She probably never would have said it if she was by herself. That's the said thing. But since she was with her friends and needed to look cool so that's what she said. Was it a racial comment. Of course.
Is she a racist? I don't know. I think a person would have to see what she is like, by more that 1 verbal confrontation.
I think it's a shame white/black/red/green derogatory remarks are made to people just so that others are made to feel superior. Because honestly, when those words are coming out of your mouth you are just bringing yourself down.
Sorry this happened to you Holla!

Re: I have been holding this in all day
i was in the mall the other day on the 1st floor and kids were on the second floor throwing sugar packets and pennies from the 2nd floor ..
they hit a couple with their (about 4 month old baby) and the guy snapped on them and these kids had the nerve to tell the guy to shut up before they come down there and smack him.. he let it go but i tell you if that was me i would have found their parents took them to the bathroom and push their head in the toilet

i have to strongly disagree with all of you who say its not a race thing.
maybe it didnt start out as a race issue but once she spoke the words "I f*&^ing hate white people" it BECAME a race thing.
just like that Fat Nick thing (bad example, but im using it) he beat up a black guy and used RACIAL terms so it then BECAME a hate crime......
once you say something about someones race, religionl, sexual orientation, IT IS a race, creed, sexual orientation issue!!!!!!!!!!!!
plain and simple.
just like if Holla said to the girl first, "i f*&$ing hate black people" it would then be a racial thing!
if she didnt say anything about Hollas RACE then it would not be a racial comment, but she obviously DID and i cant understand how anyone would still say its not a racial thing.
is it a disrespectful issue, sure is. its both!
I agree 1000%
I hope she remembers that comment she said to you if and when she ever experiences racism herself.
Punka$$ little brat.
