I have to get some tests done after m/c is over. Can anyone tell me about thier experience?
My doctor called and told me he wants to do a Uteral Evaluation. So after I stop m/c ing I have to go get an hCG done the week of the 14th. Just so he knows the level is 0.
Then I get AF and call him immediately. He said that he was going to take bloodwork, which I know is testing for hormones.
An HSG? Can you tell me what it is and if it's painful?
An endometrial (uterus) biopsy? Which I know they biopsy your uterus. Has anyone had this done? How long did it take? Was it painful? Did you bleed after?
I hope they find what they need and hopefully I will be pg by the end of August begining of Sept. That would be cool!
Thanks girly girls!!

With my second miscarriage, I had a d/c and they tested the baby. It turned out to be a chromosome abnormality.
Have they tested any of your miscarriages to determine what is happening ? You would need a D/C in order to do this. Is there any reason they are having you miscarry naturally ?
That is the only test that I had, so I can't help you with the ones you are asking about. Not sure what they are.

Thanks for the info! I will give her an FM and see what she says. I'm going to tell her you told me, if you don't mind, just so she dosen't think i'm just FMing her out of the blue.

Re: I have to get some tests done after m/c is over. Can anyone tell me about thier experience?
After my last m/c on 3/07 I had a D&C but the fetus was never tested. Had I known more then, I would have insisted on it. I am now 41 1/2 and have no been able to get pg again and they found I have a chromosomal abnormality as well.
As for the HSG, I had onw in June and I am 1 out of a small percentage of girls who had a painful one. Not unbearable, but pretty sharp pain that lasted all of 3-4 minutes. Most girls say it is no more than bad period cramps.
Good luck with everything.

I had both the HSG & uterine biopsy. Neither one of them was over the top painful. The HSG was uncomfortable for about 15 seconds...and even less for the biopsy. I don't recall bleeding at all.
You will be fine! Keep your mind in a positive train of thought--that this will all help you have a successful pregnancy in the future. It's all so worth it!!!

Thank you all so much. I was a little scared bc I have never had any female problems my whole life. No cysts, fibroids, nothing- and I know that i'm lucky bc lots of women do. I just never had to test for anything but a pap. I'm not so nervous anymore!
Thanks again and have a happy 4th!
