I hit my first 40 pound goal!!!!!!
It has taken me a little over 4 months but I have hit my first 40 pound goal!!! I am so excited and I feel so great!
Now that I have hit that goal I set my next goal as 20 pounds by June 1 and I would like to hit my next 40 pound goal by September. If I do that I will be at the weight that I have wanted to be for a very long time. I would still want to lose a little more after that but I'll see how I feel once I get there.
I've also decided to increase my workouts now. It's much easier for me to work out now and I want to start toning my body now that I am losing all this weight. So I went back to the gym tonight and I plan on going to the gym 3 times a week and do 2 nights of the 30 day shred dvd.
Ladies, if I can do this you all can as well. I have 2 kids and I work full time. I got myself into a lot of really bad habits that took a long time to break. For me, there was always that feeling of "I'll start tomorrow." Or I already blew it today so I might as well eat whatever I want. Or once I lost weight I would say hey I lost 5 pounds, I'm going to get that cheeseburger because I deserve it. I don't do that anymore. I have a new focus in life and a new way of living. I will never go back to how I was before. It took some time to get use to but within a month I have to say I felt great about everything.
I'm no pro at this but I am more than willing to help anyone here that needs help. Thanks for reading this and feel free to ask me any questions.

Re: I hit my first 40 pound goal!!!!!!
Thank you everyone for the congrats and encouragement.
I joined WW in November and attribute most of my weight loss to that. I had no problems at all incorporating the new lifestyle into my life as a mom. I love the WW program. Part of it for me is I was truly 100% ready to make the change to my lifestyle. I used to be skinny and very fit and I am very much into sports and working out. So I knew I had it in me. I missed being like that. I wanted to have energy to run after my kids. I wanted to be able to come home at night and have the energy to play with my kids for the 2 hours before they went to bed.
For me the true success has come from planning and tracking. Stocking my house with good foods. Going to the grocery store at least once a week and making sure I had in tons of fruits and vegetables as well as healthy snacks and dinners. My daily diet used to consist of coffee with whole milk and tons of sugar, a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast, pizza or some type of fast food for lunch and dinner was either take out or pasta with garlic bread (you get the idea). I hardly ever ate fruits and vegetables, like maybe 3-4 times a week. Now I eat 4-5 fruits and vegetables a day. I eliminated coffee because it just doesn't taste as good to me when you don't put 5 sugars in it. I switched from regular sprite to diet sprite. I love to drink and I have been able to cut down how often I drink and what I drink. I switched from having martinis all the time to now having vanilla vodka and diet sprite.
As far as exercising goes, I honestly did not exercise as much as I would have liked to during this whole time. From December to now I did all my workouts at home. I do wii fit and the 30 day shred dvd. I would do it 3 times a week for about 30 minutes. To me the diet was more important to get under control and I wanted to really focus on that before I amped up my workouts. Starting next week (Monday) I am planning on working out 5 times a week, 2 gym days, 2 wii fit days and 1 30 day shred. I find that I get my best workouts in at night so I always do them at about 9 after the kids go to bed.
Losing weight and more importantly eating healthier has given me so much more energy. I am able to do so much more then I was 4 months ago. The only major change to our daily routine is we put the kids to bed 30 minutes earlier. All of that comes with cooking meals more and eating at 6:15-6:30 instead of 7-7:30. I'm not waiting for take out to be delivered so we are eating much earlier. That helps us get the kids into bed earlier and gives me the time to workout.
I hope that helps answer some of your questions. If you have anything more to ask feel free to FM or post here. I am more then happy to share any advice I may have. Thank you again everyone for your encouragement. Having a support system has been a tremendous help for me.
