I know i shouldnt be thinking this...

Is it safe to think that at 9 weeks my odds of MC have significantly dropped. I just want to get this horrible feeling out of my head. My first pregnancy i swear has scarred me for life. I am constantly rubbing my stomach and praying to god. I guess im just more worried now cuz my poregesterone level is 13 and i called the doctor back and the RE assures me that it is fine and fluctuates throughout the day. Im starting to let my guard down about this baby and im so scared something horrible is going to happen. Thanks for letting me vent girls

I was very worried too but I just kept thinking to myself that whatever will be, will be. As long as you are doing everything you should be and not overdoing it...all you can hope for is that everything else will happen the way it should. Chat Icon Chat Icon

It's totally normal. I really didn't relax until 20 weeks when I started feeling her move every day. Even now, if it's been a few hours I start to freak out. It'll never stop, you just have to learn to relax and talk yourself out of it when it starts. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I know - I am going through the same thing.

I am just trying to keep myself sane by telling myself that I am doing the best I can! You should do the same!

Re: I know i shouldnt be thinking this...

Each week your odds get better for sure.

What you feel is totally normal. I felt much better after the 13 weeks had passed, but even at 17 weeks, I don't feel "confident" and untainted mentally.
I think once you are scarred it's hard to get past that. I think that most of us who feel this way at least feel better after the level 2, around 20 weeks. But it's very normal to feel such fear.

Please FM me, I am here for you.

It is totally normal to worry, but with that said, please dont let your fear ruin each day. Whatever will be will be, and as long as you're taking your vitamins, eating right (if your m/s doesnt prevent it) and resting when you're tired, then you are holding up your end of the bargain!
There will always be concerns, it goes along with being a parent...when you're pregnant you worry that something will be wrong, the first, second and thrid trimesters bring with them different sets of worry, but then you worry again once the baby is born, but it's a different set of worries!
I am almost 17 weeks now and I am concerned every day, so I definitely understand what you're feeling. But please enjoy the miracle that's going on inside of you!!!!! FM me if you ever want to talk, but above all...feel good!

Re: I know i shouldnt be thinking this...

I know how you are feeling.. having a miscarriage changes you... you lose that innocence of pregnancy. I am jealous of my friends who are pregnant now too - they got pregnant and thought, in 9 months I will have a baby, they never have that constant fear in the back of their minds. I just had this conversation with DH the other day as I worried because I had a weird colored discharge. Everything is a cause of alarm for me. As I think I posted in one of your other threads - I call the doctor anytime I am scared about something - it does give me peace of mind... at least for the day lol.
