A catheter would be worse! I am sure the heart monitor is just precautionary. the DR. has to cover every angle to avoid malpractice.

question- do you or could you have a thyroid issue?
having an overactive thyroid gives you those feelings...its worth it to get a blood test to find out

Not that I know of, but thyroid issues do run in the family. I'll mention it to my doctor.
Thank you all for the well wishes. I have one more hour before I can take this thing off. The stickers are itchy and I loathe the fact that I couldnt take a shower this morning.

I had to wear a halter monitor once when I was about 13 or 14. Its a little annoying but worth it to make sure everything is ok.
Good Luck - the 24 hours will be over before you know it!

i know how you feel, i've had to be monitored since i was 20. Its frustrating and depressing at times, but worth it in the end.

i had to wear one last year around this time because i was seriously stressed out (turns out i was overwhelmed with work and the wedding planning  ). the doctor told me to just relax more and come back if i had any more palpitations. i never did. dont worry you'll be fine!
