Sounds like typical toddler fare to me, I wouldn't stress over it.

Stacey, I swore I would not do processed food, but thank God for mac and cheese and fish sticks. I can always count on Connor to eat those.
In the summer all he wanted was watermelon He's the only kids who won't touch burgers and hotdogs

Re: I know its been done before...toddlers eating habits
This is one of DSs favorite meat dishes:
Chafing Dish Meatballs
2 pounds ground beef 1 egg, slightly beaten 1 large onion, grated (or 1 tbsp onion powder) Salt to taste 1 (12 oz.) bottle chili sauce 1 (10 oz.) jar grape jelly Juice of 1 lemon (or 1 tsp. of lemon juice from squeeze bottle)
Directions: Combine the meat, egg, onion and salt. Mix and shape into small meatballs. Gently drop the meatballs into a sauce of the chili sauce, grape jelly and lemon juice. Simmer until meatballs are brown.

Re: I know its been done before...toddlers eating habits
I make all of DDs food except for occasional pizza (which I sometimes make) or chicken fingers (which she doesn't like).
Dinners are: flattened grilled chicken breast Turkey burgers (minus the rolls she won't eat them) turkey meatballs and pasta tacos with either meat or chicken stir fry with chicken and veggies and pasta pasta with grilled chicken and veggies Last night I made a version of macaroni and cheese (with pinwheels pasta) with grilled chicken, carrots, broccoli
All meals are served with plain steamed veggies - she loves carrots, broccoli, string beans, asparagus etc. I don't put anything on them so she isn't used to butter etc on her veggies. She also loves plain sweet potatoes.
She does eat a lot of cheese on our peds request - but that is b.c she has a milk protein issue and can tolerate yogurt and cheese but she cannot drink any milk.
I would be happy to share any of the above recipes with you - they are all pretty simply to make I think.
She also often has apple slices or other fruit after her meal if she is still hungry
Lunches are things like small pizza bagels, grilled cheese and fruit cheese, crackers, fruit, yogurt occasionally I will make her a sandwich pizza (prepared) she LOVES soup and has been asking for this recently - so I took to getting organic low sodium chicken broth and adding in pasta carrots and whatever other veggies I have around
Breakfasts are a bit harder b.c she isn't a big breakfast eater so it tends to vary considerably Cheerios and fruit Cheerios and eggs omlettes and fruit on weekends sometimes she will have pancakes or french toast and fruit Hot cereal She tends not to eat much for breakfast no matter what I have tried to serve her

Re: I know its been done before...toddlers eating habits
DD will only eat pasta with butter and mac and cheese. She MIGHT take a bite of a chicken nugget. NO VEGGIES.
She love blue berries and bananas. And she'll eat yogurt and apple sauce.
She'll eat cheese too.
That's it.
SOOOOOO annoying.

Re: I know its been done before...toddlers eating habits
my ds eats a great variety of food but he eats soooo slowly b/c of low oral muscle tone.
breakfast: (always a yobaby yogurt with a fresh fruit and carb) cherrios pancake waffle french toast blueberry toaster struddle scambled eggs cereal bar
lunch: ~sandwiches= egg salad, ham, turkey, bologna, roast beef, cream cheese & honey ~pb&j on ritz ~mac and cheese ~egg & cheese omlette ~soup (veggies, noodles, beans, chicken)
with a 'dessert'- cheese stick, orange, yogurt, strawberry & banana smoothie, pear, mini muffins, apple sauce, peach mango sauce
dinner: (usually carb + protein+ veggie all seperate b/c he'll only eat the most prefered food if i give it together.) ~chicken ,turkey or beef hotdogs ~organic: chick nuggets, cheese and corn nuggets, spinach nuggets, broccoli and cheese nuggets ~ meatballs or meatloaf ~tofu ~sausage & peppers ~breaded white fish ~salmon ~gefilte fish ~very thin turkey breast and stuffing ~fish sticks ~veggie lomein ~gerber meat sticks ~chicken legs in a stew ~stir fry chicken and veggies sides: ~ noodles with peas, corn & tofu ~ cauliflower & cheese and rice ~peas & carrots ~baked fries or sweet potato fries ~ dif. types or rice ~ broccoli & cheese ~ pasta with dif. sauces ~breaded eggplant ~humus ~matzah ball soup ~mushrooms and sprouts ~breaded zuchini strips
not always healthy food but i'm just happy he's eating it.
i just ordered a crock pot and i'm excited to use some of the yummy recipes that the girls on here recommended!
editted to add: he won't eat most of this if i didn't give him something to dip his food in. usually ketchup, tomato s\auce, sweet and sour sauce, or even broth.

Re: I know its been done before...toddlers eating habits
DD (just turned 2) eats what we eat. She rarely refuses anything. Given a choice (like in a restaurant) she'll always choose chicken and fries but at home she has never been given a choice, what I cook is what we eat.
