I know its early, but question for those parents who work FT during the summer with young school age kids
What are your summer plans for DC? I am in Holbrook but work in W. Islip. I am looking for something for DC to do during the summer than what he has done in the past few years. Any Recs?

Last summer, DS was enrolled in Camps r us and loved it. He asked to do it again this summer. The regular hours are 9-5 and they have extended hours before and after camp.
Loves of activities and trips. @ days a week he was swimming and bowling. He started K in Spet so I wanted him ready for new situations. He was more than ready and I was happy knopwing he had a fun summer.

Sadly, it's not early. My boys (will be 4 & 6 this summer) are signed up with a Camp a few towns away - In prior years I did the 'camp' program at their daycare, but now that they are getting older I wanted something where they would be outside more

DS will be doing his preschool's camp again this year. He had an amazing time last year: swimming, petting zoo with pony rides, trips. He could do sports camp at his elementary... But I think he'd enjoy the preschool camp more (it's really a private school, so has all ages, but the vast majority of kids go there for preschool).

DD went to "camp" at her daycare center until she actually started school. Then we sent her to regular camp for the summer.

I send my daughter to my aunt's and every year I toy with the idea of putting her into a summer program at least for one month. Still toying with it.
