I know it's January, but I have a camp question for 4 year olds.
So this summer, I'll have a newborn at home, and I know last summer Ava was miserable at home the whole time with me, so I'm looking into camps for her. So far, I've seen the Brookhaven YMCA has a full day program for preschoolers and they have 2 day, 3 day and 5 day options. Are there any other camps that anyone knows of in Suffolk that have full day options for preschoolers? I think she'll really benefit from it, and it will give me some time to bond one on one with the baby. Any suggestions would be great!

Suffolk Y has Camp Wonderland in Commack. Best Learning Center runs a camp in Smithtown. Ivy League in Smithtown has a camp too, but I'm not sure what the minimum age is.

Jacob goes to Kenwal Day Camp in Melville.
These are others that I know of in Suffolk:
West Hills Driftwood Crestwood
Ivy League in Smithtown Park Shore in Commack
Money wise they are all in the same ballpark give or take a few hundred but you will be paying between $4-5,000 for a full day 5 day a week program. I know at Kenwal if you want to drive a bus, you can have your child go for free.. A couple of my girlfriends do that..
If you can find a camp, She will love it trust me.. Jacob keeps asking if it is summer yet and can he ride on the bus to go to Camp Kenwal to swim...

Re: I know it's January, but I have a camp question for 4 year olds.
My kids all went to camps at the Great South Bay YMCA and absolutely loved it! I can't recommend them enough. I would assume the Brookhaven Y program is very similar .
Also, some summers I had less $ than others and I would put them in very affordable town-run 1/2 day programs instead of the Y. I know it's not what you asked for, but it's something you may want to keep in the back of your mind.
Town of Babylon and West Babylon CYC each have their own camps and we usually get the calendars around March. Call your town and ask when they send them out.

Thanks for the recommendations everyone! I completely forgot about the town programs, too. I'll have to look into that, too!
