I think only having $750 a month with a kid is pretty tight.
I agree, I think you need more of a cushion.
ITA. What about selling the house and buying a townhome or condo? This way, you have equity and a smaller payment. Just a thought.

First off I'm sorry you have to go through this but I agree with everyone else $750 a month is cutting it too close.

Also you have to take into consideration child care costs if you are going to be working FT- I agree that this is cutting it too close.
ETA Can I ask where you got this figure for child support. The minimum I believe for support is 17% of his salary.
