I live in a two family home and hate it!
We rent the second floor of a two family home. I hate it, I hate everything about sharing any type of space with anyone. My entire apartment smells of garlic and onions and I love me some garlic don't get me wrong, but it's like they found all the garlic in the world and decided to use it all at once. My eyes won't stop tearing I don't what to do, they really hurt and the smell is burning my nose... ughhhhhhhhhhh
vent over... sorry thanks for listening

ughh sorry to hear that!! Maybe leave the windows open to let the air circulate and use those plug in freshners?
Im actually looking to move in the next week or two and im looking into 2family houses but Im gonna be kinda choosy because we're gonna share such close quarters!!
Is there any chance of moving out? Are you guys tied into a lease?

I am sorry that you have to deal with that..
That is the one thing that I dont miss from living in apartments, the neighborhood that i used to live in my apartment would smell like curry...I would have taken garlic over that...but either way its bad.

Re: I live in a two family home and hate it!
no way are we moving. we just moved into this place in January and I'm expecting in August so the last thing I want to do is move again and move while pregnant. Besides, DH REFUSES to leave our town (he grew up here and his entire family lives here) so when we were looking it was not only the cheapest 2 bedroom that we could find in the town but also the cleanest and nicest out of all the other ones as well. So I guess everything can't be perfect right? At least they don't play their music ridiculously loud anymore. They had a huge party last month and there were drunk people all in the street and their friends puked all over outside. They used to play music loud all the time and we would complain to the landlord but he wouldn't do anything... well after that one party he did because a bunch of neighbors called the cops!! So since then, it's been quiet thank goodness! Why can't anyone be considerate these days? I swear. I live on the top floor and pretty much walk on my tippy toes because I know how much it stinks for it to sound like people are bowling upstairs from all the heavy walking.
