I really need to freaking vent
I have a procedure on Monday and I wasn't told anything about it. So I went online to check it out and found out that they inject radioactive dye into me. I just called the lab about the safety of it and being around a toddler. They stated so matter-of-factly that I couldn't hold, hug or be near DS for 24 hours. 
So glad *I* asked. Would they have ever told me? How am I supposed to not be near him all day?!?!?!
Vent over.

OMG that is horrible... how can they not tell someone about this. i would call your dr. to see what the effects that can happen.

Wow that's pretty awful of them not to inform you ahead of time. What if you didn't have a full day's worth of child care lined up.

WOW that is shocking, thank goodness you checked so you can organize care for him ahead of time. Still that s*cks though, I can't believe they didn't inform you

As you know, same thing for me. the first time I had it done, I was told right before it when they thrust the paper in front of me to sign......
Like I said, I've had it done 4x and really just did what I had to do and my kids are fine and not sprouting any extra digits anywhere because of it!
