I seriously do NOT know why

"recent college graduate" automatically means that you don't deserve to earn more than $25k a year BEFORE OR after taxes. I AM SO FRUSTRATED BY THIS JOB SEARCH, I WANT TO KICK SOMEONE.

OK that is all.

Carry on.

Internship. I interned for 3 years while I was studying - it was the best thing I've done for my career.

All of my schoolmates that worked at an intern program during college now make 80+. Everyone else? Lets just say they're lucky to make 35K.

I had an issue similar to that. In IT they all want experience. Sorry but I had to work while I was in school to pay for my bills. I couldn't do a free internship 40 miles away for at least 20 hours a week. What I learned in school taught me crap about what I have learned in the Real World. Keep ya head up. It took me about 7 months after graduating before I got an offer I accepted. I stayed working retail while I interviewed and applied to 20,000 jobs. It's rough but you will find something eventually.

Yes, its hard - I was lucky to have a paid internship with a local tech company. If it was unpaid, I also would not have been able to do it.

so sweet - thank you.

The degree is B.S. in Professional Communications with a concentration in Business. I had a heavy project management courseload.

I have 4 years of solid medical office experience - insurance, some billing, patient relations, etc.

I can do almost anything on a computer - extremely proficient in Microsoft Office, internet, email, some medical programs, etc. (Both Mac AND PC)

I would love to get into insurance - either within an insurance co (corporate offices) or in an agency, but I'm not limiting myself to this at all.

I need health benefits.

Re: I seriously do NOT know why

I know what you mean....I remember being there too.

Maybe you can get into a management training program? I bet they have higher starting $ than just an entry level job.

Also, are you looking to work only on LI? If you work in "the city" Chat Icon (see other thread) you will most likely make more.

I completely agree with this! I work there now and I love it! Well, most of the time that is!

Def. look and apply - it never hurts to apply and there are a few of us online here that work there that may be able to help out by spreading your resume around.Chat Icon Chat Icon
