I think Damien had a panic attack (update)
Yesterday morning when he woke up he sounded kinda croupy. He said his cough was bothering him, but by the time we left for school he was okay.
This morning he wakes up flipping out that he is sick and has a cough. It sounded like he couldn't cough up a phlegm ball and was breathing really deep and fast and sounded really croupy (that seal like cough) He went into a full blown panic attack. He was flipping out. crying and screaming. I took him in the bathroom and turned the shower on full blast with hot water to help clear him out. I got him to calm down finally and he fell asleep. I am waiting till my ped opens so I can hopefully get him in right away. It was pretty scary and of course my DH makes it worse by flipping out (gee wonder where the panic attacks come from )
He is sleeping now but you can still hear the weird breathing
UPDATE:
Well he does have croup. So now I have to try and keep him away from Jaidy which will be impossible since they are attached at the hip. They put him on prednisone, which can make him hyper
 He is already hyper enough he needs no help

We have a 10:45 appointment.
He woke up again and is his normal happy self. It was so weird how he was before. Now I am wondering if he was doing that all in his sleep
He still sounds like he is having trouble breathing He sounds really raspy. He hasn't needed the nebulizer since he was a toddler so hopefully he doesn't need it now. It figures this happens right before kindergarten starts.

Isn't that annoying!? They are supposed to outgrow croup by now! I'm often in the same boat.
I'm glad you went now...he'll be better just in time for school!
