i *think* i am ready for ivf! i have some questions about the meds!!
the sounding was god awful. it hurt and apparently i have a 'tricky transfer' because my uterus is tilted. great.
on the other hand, i the doc said i can start on lupron now and then next week come in to see if i am surging. not sure what that means. he also said low doses of lupron because i am young and feels like 'too' many meds isn't a good thing.
do i call the pharmacy myself to set up an account or does the nurse?

i have a tilted uterus and i forgot to ask yesterday if that was a problem i did a trial transfer and she didnt say anything to me so i guess im ok i start lupron next friday so we will be close in our cycles together. I wish you the best of luck this cycle!!
as for calling the pharmacy i heard only some will have the meds you will need. ill have to check back at this post to see what others say cause im going to need to know too next week!
did you start lupron already?

no he told me on wednesday when i go for orientation that my nurse will get me going on my meds. then we have to wait to get our periods and then we stim, right?
so unsure of everything!

I started Lupron after I ovulated so I am not sure of your protocol.
As for the med's... you have to get at a specialty pharmacy. The nurse should be able to tell you where the closest one is, call the prescriptions in, and help coordinate your insurance.

Yes, but I find it funny that he is having you use them for an IVF cycle. Usually the doctor monitors your bloodwork.

I also have a tilted uterus. My doc said it's basically like being left handed instead of right handed and shouldn't have any bearing on being able to conceive or carry.
I'm doing IVF this month (actually I start stimming in the middle of Sept). They didn't mention anything about me having to detect my surge. I think they will be monitoring me I go in on Sept 3rd for a full protocol/calendar review, maybe I'll know more then
