I think I might lose it this week...
About 2 months ago Liam got C.diff (translation: horrible bacteria that attacks your colon and causes colitis, bleeding, horrible runs and a slew other awful symptoms. You can get it if you are on antibiotics.. Liam had tons of ear infections.. so yeah)
Then I got c.diff.. I was also on antibiotics.. So they put me on the same meds Liam was on. But, then my test came back negative saying I didn't have it. Well.. I finished the meds anyway and didn't get better... I wound up being taken by ambulance from my GI doctor to the hospital.. I did have it.. very badly and I spent 5 days in the hospital...
While I was there.. Liam got ear tubes..I felt like the worst Mom ever not being there for my son.
But about a week after that..Things were looking up.. Then Liam got a clog in his tube..
Then he got better and so did I.
Then this weekend he got a double ear infection and had yellow fluid dripping down his face.. AND my C.Diff came back It has a high recurrance rate. I was only off the major meds for 1 week and the other meds for 2 days...
SO Now I am feeling so sick. I leave the house to take Liam to daycare (I have taken off so many days, that I just have to work anyway).. and he faceplants off the front stoop.. Huge egg on his head and he is all scraped up on his face....
Then I call the ENT.. They want to see him in the office again today.. So I left work anyway and now I am home eating lunch, praying that I don't get sick, and going to pick him up in a few...
I really can't take any more of this. Anyone who has any experience with C.Diff can tell you it is sooooooo awful. I have never felt this sick in my whole life.
Sorry but, I needed to vent.

Just want to send hugs - DS (4.5 months) just tested positive for C Diff for the 3rd time - I tested negative but have HORRIBLE stomach issues that the GI told me was IBS - going to re-test today because I KNOW I have it.
The antibiotics don't seem to be working for DS

You have FM. Please take care of yourself and remain hydrated. You don't want to wind up as sick as I was!!
My GI doc put me back on vanco for two weeks..and then they are going to start tapering it off.. sound like a 2 month tapering
