I think I should have been in therapy as a child...(WARNING - if you are lame with no sense of humor, you MIGHT be offended)
My siblings and I have began the arduous task of cleaning my mother's house after her passing. We need to get rid of a lot of papers and things before we have repairs done in preparation for its' sale. In going through the papers, my sister came across a folder that had my name on it - we all had our own folders. This folder has old report cards and school papers from approximately 1977-1978 placing me in the second grade and just having turned 7. Upon going through these papers, I found some of my early art work and nearly wet myself
I call this..."Childhood Gender Confusion"
(note the color palette in the top corner - Georgia O'Keefe had nothing on me)

Mind you I recently reconnected with my second grade teacher and we plan to meet for lunch. I planned on bringing the work with me. I may leave this one out.

Ya know I do work in the field of mental health. If one of my students drew that in class today, at the age of 7, I would have to immediately report it to their social worker and parents would be called. The times they are a-changing.

I recall once as a child my sister and I drawing naked pics of a neighbor we liked (teenager). Then we buried them b/c we were embarassed....
Too funny, I wonder WHAT you were thinking????

that is classic!
Reminds me of a story I was just told about a 2nd grade student of mine...the art teacher in my school gave a private art lesson as an auction item. They made clay figures.
The boy made a man...with a penis. His mom picks him up from the lesson. She saw the figure and was horrified (though didn't make this known to the art teacher). She immediately removes the penis without him knowing. 
That night, the 2nd grader notices it and FLIPS out. He was hysterical the whole night.
The mom returned to school the next day with her son, asking the art teacher if they can 'remake' the clay figure. he just made the penis of course.
So Leslie...I think you're doing okay.
