I have a charge of $173 LAN AIR Santiago 09-09-09 12:00 AM.
I know I wasn't shopping at midnight

It was plane tickets they close dout our debit cards. It was purchased with my DH's card. I'm glad it was only for $173. I have to call my actual bank tomorrow morning. I am so $#&^%$&^$(&^(&^ pizzed!!!!!!

Eww. Dirtbags. I dropped my card and someone went and filled up at the gas station. $80 bucks later. We got it back. Good Luck Mama!

That happened to my Dh credit card 2 years ago, someone bought plane tickets for $700 and another one for $800 the bank refunded the money ASAP and they did their investigation and found the person.
Your bank should refund your money back to the account.

Totally sucks Sorry. Just before Christmas, someone obtianed my cc number (I still had possession of my card) and booked a trip and bought a few electronics.... Citibank called me to tell me about high activity and I was very thankful no further damage occurred.

You should totally file a police report, just to have one..
I work for a bank and a member the other day came in, said she went to get gas at a random gas station and the attendent couldn't swipe her card out at the pump, so he ran it on his machine inside and sure enough, 2 charges for $1400 total came out of her account for Egypt Air..
In her case she was lucky bc she knows exactly where it happened.. but she will get the money refunded to her anyway bc she is filing a dispute.. She is also filing a police report as well..

Something similar happened to me, except the person bought solar paneling for his house in the amount of $4000. It was a debit card for my "emergencies" account that I haven't used in 5 years, still have no idea how anyone got the info from it.
The bank immediately refunded all the money and even checked the past few statements to see if any other fraudulent purchases had been made. Sure enough, the jerks had "tried" the card by buying a few small things the month before. They did all the work for me, and gave me all my money back. I hope the same happens for you.
