My first day in a new school (in 1st grade) was absolutely horrible, but I got through it and loved school soon after. It'll get better

I love that his teacher got back to you right away - what a relief! The first day of school is soooooo scary - just think it's almost over and he'll be home soon! This day will be the hardest!

I already like his teacher.
I'm dying to go home & hear about their day. I'm jealous DH is picking them up in 20 minutes. I hope he comes home & can't wait to go back.

How wonderful that his teacher is so accessible! I am sorry to hear that Damien had a tough start. The fact that he calmed down and was able to engage is great! I hope he has a better day tomorrow.

I know me too!!
I can't wait till Open School Night so we can meet her!! He should be home soon, school gets out at 3:45. So hopefully he loved it!!
I hope everyone's little ones who went back/started school had great days!!!
