I was just yelled at in the grocery store.....have you heard of this??

Ok,

So DH and I ran in to buy formula before. We are both wearing sandals.

A lady prob in her 60's stopped us and told us it was filthy and unsanitary to be wearing sandals in a grocery store.

I kind of just stared at her, and then said "don't worry, I'll clean my feet when i get home" (sarcasm) and she shook her head and was obviously disgusted..

Are you cautious of the shoes you wear while going to a grocery store??? I never thought about it.

I did want to slap her..i mean, its none of her business what i have on my feet...but i've been thinking about it since.

She should have kept her mouth shut It's unsanitary to wear NOTHING on your feet, not sandals...jeez...

thats ridiculous.....i could understand if you were barefoot, but sandals/flipflops??!! she was totally out of line

I wear flip flops everywhere- to work, from work, running errands, on weekends, weekday

When she owns the grocery store, she can require whatever shoes she wants. Until then she should keep her mouth shut.

One time DH and I were in church just sitting there in the pews and this old lady behind us starts talking about how innapropriate we were being. We weren't doing ANYTHING!!! The husband actually told her to shut up and then we moved seats...

I just can't stand when these people think they own the world....

Pitiful old lady who needs a life. I've worn sandals, flip flops to the grocery store. I buy my groceries with my hands not my feet.

She should be more concerned about the people sneezing on her veggies (or the kid working the deli counter that didn't wash his hands when he left the restroom.)
