Ice Cream Maker
Does anyone have one? Do you like it? Is it easy to use? Is it reasonably priced? TIA!

I have the cuisinart one, it's super easy to use and it was fairly priced I think $50-60.

I have this one too. The novelty of it wore off fairly quickly when I think of how easily I can have already made ice-cream in a jiffy from the market.

Re: Ice Cream Maker
I have the cuisinart one as well. It was $99 at BBB and a 20% = $80.
it's fun for a few times, but like PP said, it's easier to go to the store and buy quality ice cream.
1. heavy cream is expensive
2. clean up - blech
3. the soft serve is a little too soft

I disagree - I have one and love it! Clean-up isn't bad: you just have to hand wash the inside bucket. The other parts can go in the dishwasher. And I like knowing what I'm eating. You never really know what's in anything store-bought. Not sure about the cost b/c i got it as a shower gift. Pick up the Ben and Jerry's cookbook; it's easy and comes out amazing.

OMG DH & I use it all the time, I dont even take the freezer part out of the freezer! And plus it takes a million times better than regular ice cream from the store!! The recipe we use is really simply and amazingly delicious

Re: Ice Cream Maker
I've made some pretty good sorbets and ice creams in mine.
You just have to make sure to follow directions -- have the 'bowl' in the freezer for 2 days and refridgerate the mixture before you put it in to make the ice cream/sorbet (this is what I found for the cuisinart)
