I EBFd DS until 14 months (he is now 2.5).
I am 21 weeks pregnant with twins and am also planning to EBF. I am due in April and by June I hope to have a stash, I'd be willing to share!

I wish I could help and pump some for her, but my BM gets a funny smell and taste after it has been frozen. DS refused to drink it. It's so nice to see so may people offering to help.

I contacted you last time you asked but you never responded. I ended up throwing out bags and bags of milk last month since they were a year old  I only have one zip lock bag left. It is only about 36oz frozen in 12 3-4 oz bags. You are more then welcome to it. My dd is 15 months this week and doesn't drink the frozen stuff.

catherine, i am starting to pump again so i should have another large supply for sophia again soon.
ETA: do you want me to FM those ppl who offered and tell them what you need from them? and give them your fax #? i know how busy you are so anything else i can do to help!

Ihave a pretty good stash in my freezer, you are welcome to it..my ds is 3 mths old and lately i have just been giving him formula since he is a hungry boy and it holds him over better

I have nothing stashed away, so it would be "fresh" milk if that is ok. my son no longer drinks bm during the day so anything I can pump is hers!

It's called high lipase. If you scald the milk quickly before freezing (not microwave) it will remove the lipase without killing off the anitbodies.

It is safe to share as long as the donor mother isn't HIV positive, most other diseases which are transmitted through blood are not transmitted through BM. Other things to take into consideration are medications, alcohol/drug use, but these are things that BF mothers avoid anyway.

Yes it is bodily fluid but I am sure they take the precautions to make sure Sophia gets safe milk.
