if i'm making chicken in the crock pot..

the recipe says low for 7 hours, but i get too nervous to leave it on all day while i'm at work..

i'll be home by 2:30 today though, so I was going to put it in on high for 3 hours..do you think that will work?

Hmmm I would probably do four hours on high at the minimum.

I make chickena lot in the slow cooker. I'll set it for 8 hours on low and then it switches to warm. I usually have it in there for like 10 hours.

I wuld say 3-4 hours on high is probably okay.

thanks girls..i looked it up on the crock pot website, and apparently 7 hours at low is equivalent to 3 hours at high-it gets to the same temp

i put it on about 15 minutes ago, and it will be in there until 545, so about 3 1/2 hours
