If life couldn't get any worse-it just did. Non TTC

Well, for starters, I guess we are going to put TTC on hold.

We have a house in Boca, but we have no jobs there yet. I am out on disability from being so sick with RA.

We were living with SIL, but she has been trying to get us to leave. We have two cats, which makes things hard. Our cats are our children-giving them away is NOT an option. So, we thought we got really lucky when a friend said to us that we could rent the top floor of his home in Sag Harbor. We asked if he was positive, if he was serious. He said he was. And he would take the cats in. And the rent was what we were paying. We told him that we would move the 15th, because as I said, SIL wanted her basement back (even though she could use the money because she has my nephew's bar mitzvah and she is three months behind on her mortgage). So we were set to move today and we told him that.

So we packed and even though I am in a ton of pain, we managed to get most of our stuff here. Just to find out that, oh, I'm sorry, I told my girlfriend (who is also a friend of mine-I introduced them) she could have the upstairs. She won't sleep in the same room as him because he snores. I said, well, that's great, we can all live together. Nope-deal off. Move out-you can stay the night. We can't even have a couch. Nothing. And we of course were going to pay rent. Had we known, we could have tried to stay at SIL's-but now that we are out, she won't take us back. Neither family can/will help.

So, we are officially homeless as of tomorrow. I don't know where to turn to, what to do, where to go. This on top of the employee who basically stole DH's business, which is in the toilet.

Happy birthday and V-day to me. Just when you think things can't get worse...I am wondering what will happen next.

Good luck to everyone. I will pop on by when I have internet. I guess if we get pregnant, oh well. Whatever. I am numb. I hate life right now. I am a do-gooder, try to help, try to be a good friend. Shows how far that got me.

Sorry to be a downer. I am severely depressed, I can't think of anything to go or anywhere to turn. We tried Craig's list and most of it was bogus or they didn't want two people. Cats okay, wife, not so much.

I sincerely hope that everyone gets everything they hope for-like I said I don't want to be a downer and I truly hope for the best for everyone.

Oh no - I'm so sorry to read this. That is just awful about the apartment....how the heck can a friend do this to you???? And how the hell can your SIL turn you away with no where to live?

Do you have any other friends and family that you can stay with temporarily? I sell RE and usually most apartments I see will take cats but have problems with dogs. I hope you find something soon!

I would rather just live in my car at this point. I guess I will just drive my car down to Florida after the next infusion. One friend is trying to see if she can help. But one day's notice is not enough to find a place, KWIM? Since I am on short term disability, I guess I should just live in our Boca house and try to get a job there.

Your in-laws can't help you out for a little bit longer? WTH? Where are all of your belongings right now? I'm getting so mad for you! Sorry I don't have any good advice at all

Thanks for just listening-that helps. They don't want to help at all. They couldn't wait to get us out.
Most of our belongings are in Boca already. The rest are here at the friends house who told us AFTER we moved in.

Thanks Diana. I just booked a one way trip for myself and DH to Florida with the cats-even if we have to come up for anything, our neighbors are incredible and will watch them. This way, I will just live in Florida in my house. I think it makes the most sense. Thank you so much!

I'm sorry for you. I don't like that your family has turned you away...I mean, is there ever a time when help and support SHOULD stop? Not in my opinion...and with you being in the midst of a flare up...it's just not right at all. I wish I had more than a 1Br House...I'd seriously offer you a rooom!!! But, you know, everything happens for a reason...sounds like NY is a real *****y place for you guys to be right now anyway. Something tells me that Florida will be the answer to lots of your prayers!!! Good for you that you booked the flight and aren't waiting around for other family and friends to disappoint you. Keep your chin up this week and know that brighter (and warmer) days await!!!

OMG - That's just awful! What kind of people would just leave you on the streets? I wish there was something I could do to help. I'm so sorry you are going through this!

u know im praying for u and i am looking around to see if i find a place for u also. i wish i had room in my house also, but maybe florida is the answer. the weather may make u feel better and you could find a job and have a house... keep me updated. love u!!!
