If someone asked you what is the credit limit on the last...
credit card you used, without looking, would you know what it is?
I was asked this as a security question to confirm my identity and I failed. I have no idea what it is.

I do, but that's mainly because I zero out the balance all the time on-line, so I always see the available credit at least twice a month.

No clue...I just know it is high because I get letters frequently that state they are raising it again.

What if you use an AmEx? No preset spending limit, so technically, you can't know what the limit is...

that happened to me recently. I was going to open up a card to have no interest on the laptop purchase for 6 months but didnt know the limit on one of my 2 store credit cards that I have.

I know what my credit limit is on some of my cards but not all of them. That's a strange security question, usually it's your mother's maiden name and/or last 4 digits of your SS#.

Huh.... I did not know that. Thanks! I have an AmEx, but it's only for work, so I don't really use it if I can avoid it.
They have credit products (blue, Costco co-brand, Delta co-brand) but the traditional green & gold cards are charge. I worked in their direct mail new customer acquisition group for a while.

I think I only know the credit limit on one card which is the card with the best APR.
I barely ever use credit so I don't have a hoot as to what the other limits are.

I don't think I would have a clue either... When I recently looked at one of my statements, I took notice of it.  I couldn't believe how high it was!! Like $65K  Scary to know I can charge that much. I could never!

i guess it depends on what kind of card it was. i know the limits on all my cards but the last one i used was a store credit card - not sure if that counts.
