If this pregnancy is giving you some teenage acne......
What face wash are you using to help combat it?
I usually use Cetaphil (have used it for YEARS) .. but since becoming pregnant I feel like I need something stronger.

When I used to go for facials religiously my estitician recommended using which hazel every day.
I put it on with a cotton swab everyday after the shower and I haven't had any real skin issues since

I've been breaking out like crazy too. My skin is normally so dry and blemish-free. I've been using Clean and Clear astringent, it seems to be helping with it a little bit.

Re: If this pregnancy is giving you some teenage acne......
My back and chest has been breaking out. I would normally use a salicylic acid based body wash, but since that's a no-go with pregnancy, I started using this body scrub made with mineral salts and essential oils. I definitely feel like it's helped, but I have my brother's wedding in 4 weeks and the dress shows lots of back, so I need to step into high gear. I think I'm going to try a benzoyl peroxide-based cleanser. I think Clean & Clear makes one without the salicylic acid.
ETA: This scrub isn't for face, but the brand has face products too--only some of them contain salicylic.

Re: If this pregnancy is giving you some teenage acne......
My face broke out BAD a while back. My Mom sent me Philosophe face scrub and I love it! It has tiny little beads, so it gets all of the dead cells, dirt and oil off, but is gentle enough to use everyday.
I also asked my doc about using the proactiv cream because it has benzoyl peroxide, but not salicylic acid. He said it is totally fine to use (then asked me if I feel like a teenage boy, ). So, I use a tiny bit of that on my problem areas at night, only. I have also been putting alcohol on any spots that I get (in the morning when I am not using the Proactiv).
All of this stuff has helped a ton and I haven't had a pimple in weeks!

My doctor is fine with me using Neutrogena Acne Wash (with salycylic acid) ONCE a day. She says it's fine because it's only 2%, you wash it off, it's not like it stays on like a lotion. In the a.m. I use the Dove bar. The sal acid really helps get rid of the dead cells.

Nothing really worked for me. At this point I've given up and hope my skin will go back after dd is born.

Glad to hear my OB isn't the only one who said that's ok!
My doc said not to worry about anything I put on my skin, actually, as far as soaps and cleansers go. I do want to ask though because I seem to have a little wart on my pointer finger and all the wart treatments seem to have huge amounts of salicylic acid (like 40%!) so I'm not sure what to do.

I used the Purpose Gentle Cleansing bar. It's the only thing that would work for me to help. Nothing completely eliminated it.
