Re: if ur DC had/has seperation anxiety

I had the same problem with Julia, its very common at that age too.

I had to get out of the house more with out her, it was hard for me but I would have DH watch her when he got home and I would go to the store for a few hours.

I also had my MIL watch her during the day for a few hours. This did help with her not always wanting me every second, and it gave me a little brake too. It was hard to leave the house with her crying for me, but once I left she was fine.

Re: if ur DC had/has seperation anxiety

Gianna started at that age too, waking in the night too.

I played peek a boo alot more. And when I would leave the room, I would talk to her in the next room, or pop my head in and out. I would also tell her bye bye at her level and as i was leaving the room and would kiss her hello when i came back in. I would make a big deal if she started crying that mommy was back. It def helped a little bit.

Night was a little rough, basically we went into survival mode and she grew out of it. It took about 2 months.

Now it's coming back around again here and there, she's 17 months.

I never pushed her or gave her tough love with this anxiety, the fear is very real to them.

HTH!
