If you are going to lose your mind over this break - come on in
My DH was supposed to be off all week with us - which meant I was going to be off all week but he is doing sidework so it's just me and the kids.
This weather is killing me.
They are terrorizing each other all day long.
I didn't really schedule playdates because I thought I would be off duty this week and it seems like everyone has plans.
Tyler has been waking at 5:30 when DH leaves for work.
I can't be the only one who is going out of my mind - can I?
What to do on this miserable day?????

DS has been going stir crazy this past week too. The weather being so crummy and he has been stuck inside with 2 newborns is a bit redundant for him.
How about taking them to see a movie or bumper bowling today?

How about taking them to see a movie or bumper bowling today?
I wanted to go see that Dora show but Tyler can't sit still for two minutes, never mind sit through an entire show.
All open play places are nutty this week so I don't want to go there. I was going to venture to White Post yesterday but it started drizzling on the way. Right now the only thing on my agenda is a return at Kohls (which will probably cost me $50 in toys for the boys

Stir crazy here too!!!
we are going to the mall today b/c i can't think of anything better! LOL i hate open play places when its school vacation week b/c places are so crowded

Yeah, I'll probably lose my mind by the end of today. I've spent most days at my mom's this week.
I had all these grand plans for the week, but then Ava came down with strep and I decided it was best to just stick close to home because she seems to pick up every damn germ out there
Plus, all of our "fun money" that I put aside for day trips and what not this week got put towards our friggin cat on Saturday He was backed up and took a thousand dollar poop at the vets. But gee, so glad he's ok I refused to dip into other money to pay for his unclogging, so there goes all the fun stuff we planned.
But tomorrow, ahhh, tomorrow the kids are sleeping at my parents' house!

OMG - that's insane about the cat!
SO jealous about the sleepover! I'm excited that I have a babysitter coming tomorrow so that I can go to Zumba. I know how to live it up
Hope Ava's better!

I've had a week like this too, just insert "bad cold and fever" in place of strep. My kid has been sick all freakin winter so I decided to keep him home before he picks up yet another stomach virus or something on top of the cold.
Oh, and I can't go to my mom's because she won't go near my kids if they're sick The highlight of yesterday was the Target run I did blissfully ALONE after DH came home.

This weather stinks!
Im so happy to have my sister here visiting from MA.
My brother is on his last week of paternity leave, so, I've been spending time there too.
DD still has all of her EI sessions, so, that helps so much to break up the day!
Is it sad, that, even though im a nervous wreck, Im sort of looking fwd. to a freakin' dental appointment? Uggghh NOT fun, I may take that back! LOL.
If my sister wasn't visiting with my nephew, I'd be going nuts!
We were able to go to the ecology site on Monday and Im thinking maybe going to the fish hatchery in Cold Spring Harbor tomorrow (if plans fall thru) or Friday and walking around Huntington Village.
The open play places, just aren't worth it during breaks!
@ Diana...do you belong to any meetup groups? This keeps me sane also during breaks. My group has something planned every single day! It's great!

I go out every day... even to a mall when I'm home with DS alone... even if I don't buy anything.
Aquariums are also great indoors.

Oh yea!!!! Teddy missed school last week because Andrew was sick, this week is spring break, DH is up and down state all this week and was gone last weekend and Teddy has been a terror!!!! While I love him he is driving me bananas!!!

I'm definitely not going to make it until next week. I've been trying to get some work done at home, and DD & DS are killing each other. And my kids are 9 and 21 months!!! DD has a play date tomorrow for a few hours, thank god, so hopefully DS will become his normal calm self again.

I have a ton of friends with kids who we see normally but they are all busy this week. Some are away, one has a mother in the hospital, kids are sick, etc. I made it through the worst part of the day though, we went to the pet store and to do some errands - so now I count the hours until DH gets home

he only slept 8 hours last night
Went to GTG mid-late morning
Decided to stop by DSW. NIGHTMARE! I had to leave and I had found the hotest pair of shoes.
Stopped by buy buy baby, NIGHTMARE! I had to leave again after 10 minutes
Told me to nap in the car on the way back. He crashed 5 minutes after coming back home.

DD's daycare was closed several days for passover so I am home unexpectedly with her for a few more days...
Anyways, yesterday was TERRIBLE! The weather, nap-time was a disaster, we tried going out, it was all timed wrong etc.
Today was MUCH better, met a friend for lunch w/her toddler, they were both so happy, and naptime was a breeze. I would just try and make a few plans to keep busy but not expect too much w/anything. I think this weather makes us all get down too!

I canNOT wait for Genevieve to go back to school.
It's not so much HER, as it is the three of them together.
Plus, I've been swamped with work I can't get done because of the constant fighting and mess-making. Then, Charlie and I both had a stomach virus in the middle of all this (thought Billy had it too but that was just one of his weird puking incidents)
Our school district is closed on Monday - Tuesday cannot come fast enough!

Oh, you know im in hell. I almost did a back flip when I left him at daycare today. I literally skipped down the walkway. Im hoping it stays nice enough to get him good and tired so maybe, just maybe he passes out before dh gets home
