If you are having a planned C-section and your Dr. is part of a group
Will they make an effort to schedule your C-section with your doctor? I have been using the practice for a while. I have not met the other doctors during any of my pre-PG visits but I expect that I will meet them during some PG office visits. Will they be willing to schedule my C-section for the doctor that I originally came to the practice for? It is definite that I need a C-section.

I am in the same situation. I believe they try and schedule it with your doctor unless something comes up!

Thanks. I have no issues with seeing all the doctors on my regular visits but I really want my Dr. for the C-section, especially because I picked the practice for him specifically after researching many doctors.

There were two OB's from my practice (of four) and neither was in with me. My original doc thought it would be best for me and DS to have the other docs in with me based on my circumstances.
I always thought I would ONLY want my doc, when push came to shove, I wanted what was best in the end.

They looked at the calendar and just scheduled me. I was told it would be with this one doctor that I just don't like. I called the other doctor back crying saying I can't have a man I don't like cut me-- etc. So I was changed to 3 days later so I could be with the doctor I liked.

There are only 2 doctors in the practice I go to, and whenever they have scheduled c-sections, both of them attend. Not sure how it works with bigger offices.

There are 6 doc's in my group, 2 don't take call but you can sched with them.
They sched c sections 10 days before and you can choose who you want, but your section will be scheduled for that dr's on call day, otherwise it will be with another doc if you want a specific day and the doc you want isn't on call.
i have 1 doc there I can't stand, she has no bedside manner at all, i will refuse her at all costs.

When I scheduled mine, they said these 2 doctors will preform the c-section (thankfully, they were the 2 I love), but I did not have a choice of doctors.
