Yes, both the Teacher and the TA both wrote nice handwritten notes we got the day we came back after winter recess.

I got 9 gifts for DD daycare   and i got thank you cards for most of them!
Everyone thanked me more than once for them in person though. Honetly I wouldnt of minded if none of them gave me a hand written ones. I personally think they are a waste. I will probably just throw them out, or feel bad and be stuck with more junk 
One teacher gave me a thank you and a babys first xmas picutre fram ornament for DD. She even copied the pic off the xmas card i gave with it of DD and put it in it  i thought it was so sweet. I didnt give her a hand written thank you. Now i am thinking i should have

I gave gifts to his bus driver, main teacher, and two assistants. I only got a TY from the main teacher. I am a dance teacher and write a personalized TY to each students who gave me a gift.

I got a written note from the Kindergarten teacher and a verbal thank you from the head daycare teacher.
BUT I got NO acknowledgment from the other 2 daycare teachers, which really bothers me. Did they not open it? Was it stolen? Were they insulted that it wasn't more? Did they not realize it was from us? Who the heck knows?

Yes, 1 was handwritten and 1 was preprinted. They were given the first day back at school after Christmas break

As a teacher I always write a thank you note but with a baby it might take me a few Weeks. But I will write them.

That's how I feel. The GC I gave was in a chrsitmas bag. I know they got it because I watched my DS give it to them. But....did they open it, did the GC fall out, etc? Just any kind of acknowledgment would have been nice.

I am a teacher and I hand wrote thank you notes to all my students. However, I did not receive one thank you note from a student for the gift I gave to them. I made sure my son wrote a thank you to his daycare teachers for the gift they give him. I try to teach by example with my son, so we sat down together to do our thank you cards.

I always sent thank you cards to my students no matter what the gift was. We gave my DD's teacher a xmas gift and we got a thank you in the mail during xmas break.

I got one verbal thank you from a teacher's assistant in my DS's room, the other assistant and the teacher gave a generic thank you they printed out.
My DD's teacher didnt say anything, which surprised me as she is wonderful. The director also didnt even agknowlege she got it (I left it on her desk as she wasnt there the say I brought it). Oh well, I don't hold grudges, I know they are busy and people forget.

Wow! I'm shocked at any nos. As a teacher, I always give handwritten thank yous that day, and if a gift is given the last day before a break, I mail them to the family.

Yes and we gave to the special area teachers too. We gave out 8 gift and got 8 thank you's.
I am also a teacher and I always make sure I write thank you's & I mail them over the holiday break. I think the children like to receive mail.
