With my 2nd I was home before 24 hrs... and that time it was OK because I only had 1 at home.. when I had #3, I stayed at long as possible.. you need the rest and you won't get it at home with 2 other..STAY!

I'd stay! I had a c/s and I could have left on Thurs, had the option to stay until Friday...Once I told the Dr. I had stairs at home, he agreed I should stay one more night. Insurance covered it, and I used it.

No, I'd stay too, esp. with 2 other kids at home and not having a ton of energy after just giving birth and being in the hospital.

I would rather stay as long as possible. I want to know that the baby is healthy.

When my time comes I think I wanna just go home ASAP. But if you are having your 2nd maybe staying a little bit longer to rest isnt sucha bad idea

I was admitted to the hospital Wednesday for monitoring, was induced on Thursday, had DS at 9:59pm on Thursday night and we went home Saturday morning, we had the option of staying another night, but decided against it.

But. If you just go in for a regular delivery, and have two kids at home, I'd stay and get some friggen sleep.

I would leave. I stayed with my first but left after 24 hours with my second. I got no rest in the hospital with the nurses coming in and out a thousand times. I had a private room but was anxious to get home. I have no regrets about leaving early and will definitely do it again if I have a third.

With my next one I am going to go home the same day, I want to be back home asap!

I did with #2 for several reasons.
One, I had a clean birth (no episiotomy or C-section) and DH stayed with DD#1 while I stayed over night and that was difficult physically for me. I hated being there and getting poked every 2hours. You don't 'rest' in the hospital in my personal opinion.

I stayed at the hospital as long as possible. I had a c/s, but I milked it for all it was worth! I didn't want to leave any earlier than I had to. Looking back, it was the most rest I have gotten in awhile
