Re: If You Could Speak Another Language

Sign, the one language I would love to know. It's why I didn't take a forign language in HS, I tried to get Sign language as a class, but to no avail.

After that it would be spanish, just so I can know what half the country is saying.

Re: If You Could Speak Another Language

I took French in HS and Spanish in college, neither stuck with me.

I'd love to speak Italian or Sign language.

Definitely Italian! DH's family all speaks it (except him). My family is more Americanized. I always wished I could have learned to speak it.

Italian or French. Whenever I travel I wish I spoke more then one language. It sucks that our education system doesn't think a second language is importantChat Icon

Korean.

I want to know what the ladies are saying when I get my nails done.

I'm convinced at times they are talking about customers! Chat Icon

Russian or Chinese.

I already took 6 years of Italian & Spanish. Stepping outside of the Latin family of languages woud be interesting.

Re: If You Could Speak Another Language

I have to pick a few too.

Sign language. Always wanted to learn

Ilongo (a Filipino dialect) so I can know what my stepmom and her family are saying.

maybe Spanish, just because so many people speak it. I can understand a lot (since I did have to take it for about 6 years), just can't speak it very well.

I took French in College, didn't like it at all. Would have prefered German or Japanese.

Re: If You Could Speak Another Language

Already speak Spanish and I'm fairly good in Italian. Would like to learn Greek, tho it seems difficult.

Yes, but by that point it's almost to late to become fluent (not that it's impossible just much more difficult). The rest of the world start their second language when the children are around 5 years oldChat Icon

Re: If You Could Speak Another Language

Latin- my vocabulary would kickass, and it would make learning Spanish, German, Italian, French, Portuguese, etc all so much easier.
