If you give your 2 weeks notice
and your job doesn't make you stay the 2 weeks, do you get paid for the 2 weeks anyway? DH has the type of job where when you give 2 weeks notice, they tell you to just leave now. Anyone have experience with this?

Re: If you give your 2 weeks notice
They should.
My brother is in an industry where they tell you not to come in -- mainly b/c he deals with sales and highly sensitive market information. He would get paid for those two weeks, though.
However, I don't know if every company does this...

Re: If you give your 2 weeks notice
Traders are usually asked to leave that day b/c of confidentiality agreements and influence on the market.
They are paid for those two weeks, and will receive a paycheck for unused time - vacation/personal, etc.

Re: If you give your 2 weeks notice
Yes. My husband works in insurance and when he gave his 2 weeks, they made him leave right away and still paid him for the 2 weeks.

Re: If you give your 2 weeks notice
My DH is in sales and might be leaving soon. He has been with this company since he entered the industry. So, I won't bank on the money but there is a chance they will pay him. Good to know, thanks for the replies!
