If you had a prior c-section, I have a question for you...(especially if your kids are close in age)
Hey all,
I had my DD via scheduled c-section 11 months ago.
I am pregnant with DC#2, and I've noticed that for the first time EVER, I'm really feeling my incision when I move certain ways. For instance, I got out of bed this morning and had a pretty strong cramping sensation right around where the incision was.
I know this is probably just from routine stretching, but I'm freaking out a little bit.
This pregnancy was not planned, and now I'm worried that maybe 11 months hasn't been enough time for my uterus to fully heal up enough to carry another pregnancy...

I'm not in the same boat as this is my first pregnancy, but my cousin's first two kids are 18 months apart and she had c/s with both. She had been told to wait a year to get pregnant again since she had the c/s, but she got pregnant when her 1st was 9 months.
I can't help with the pains as I don't know, but she was able to have a successful and healthy 2nd pregnancy.
In fact, she gave birth to her 3rd child when the 2nd was 16 months! She was on birth control so it was a complete surprise. I think that pregnancy was a bit hard on her - her 3rd c/s in 3 years and she had some trouble healing afterwards. But overall she is fine and her 3 children are perfect.
GOOD LUCK!!!!

I got pregnant with DD 9 months after my scheduled C with DS - with my OB's "approval"
If you are between 8 and 12 weeks, even a bit later, it's very very common to have those pains when you move a certain way, or cough, sneeze, breathe wrong. I got that alllll the time when I was pregnant with both DS and now again with DD. I think it's just a coincidence that it's in the incision area.

Totally normal. My kids aren't as close in age, and my incision stopped bothering me loooong before I got pregnant again. Still, I had some pain there again once I got pregnant when my belly first started to pop again. I asked the midwife & she said it's normal & to be expected.

not sure, but a friend had twins with a c-section and then 2 weeks before their first birthday had a very successful VBAC with her daughter.
