If you had a SCHEDULED c-section at Good Sam

So I just got home from my last ob appt and I realized I forgot to ask all these questions. Please help me if you remember. My c/s is scheduled on Monday 1/11 for 9:30am I was told to be there at 7am.

I'm only asking if yours was scheduled bc I know theres a lot more variations of emergencies.

1. How long was your entire procedure?
2. When were visitors allowed in? I'm thinking the afternoon/evening visiting hours?
3. Do you go down to the 5th floor right after or is there a recovery room first?
4. If you are BF were you able to do it right away or did you have to wait until after recovery?
5. How long did you have to fast for? When were you given food again?
6. How was the pain management in recovery? IV drip, pills or an epidural pump?

I think thats all I have right now...I'm sure I'll think of more.

15 minutes for the spinal, about 15 minutes to get ds out and about 15 minutes to stitch me up - after that, plan to spend 1-2 hours in recovery

as soon as I was wheeled back to my room, after recovery, I had visitors

Recovery room first always

4. If you are BF were you able to do it right away or did you have to wait until after recovery?

Right away, once I was wheeled into recovery, my ds was handed to me (same with dd)....

MINE WASNT SCHEDULED PERSE BUT NOTREALLY AN EMERGENCY EITHER...LOL

ANYWAY - AS PP STATED ABOVE SHE IS CORRECT ON ALL ACCOUNTS....
