If you have an anterior placenta...UPDATE

If you have an anterior placenta, after you started feeling the baby kick, did you ever go though a long period where you didn't feeling it? For a few days, I felt clear kicks with some regularity. For the past 24 hours, I haven't felt much. Some flutters here and here, and some things that I'm not 100% sure are kicks, but nothing strong. Of course, I'm getting nervous. Has anyone else with AP had a decrease in movement toward the beginning of feeling your baby?

UPDATE: Thanks ladies. Shortly after I posted this, I fell asleep on the couch, and when I woke up, I started feeling the baby a lot. When I got into bed, the kicks were pretty strong, and actually progressively moved across my stomach from my right side to my left, so it seemed like our little monkey was pretty active in there. I have to stop worrying!

Re: If you have an anterior placenta...

I have ap. I had a decrease in movement last week for about 2 days where I almost called the doc. What I did was drink oj, eat a meal, etc and then laid down and just sat still until I could feel her again. Didnt take long but they were very faint. Her kicks picked up again within a day. Def scary and I used the Doppler so much at that point Chat Icon

Re: If you have an anterior placenta...

well i have a doppler so it really helps me.
i am 31w tomorrow and feel him daily...but that being said...half a day can go by with nothing and i am not home to check the doppler so i freak unfortunately.

my best suggestion is lay flat on your back for a half an hour after drinking or eating something.

if baby still isnt being detected i would call the doc to set your mind at ease.

You can try drinking water or a fruit juice then lay on your back for 3 minutes then roll to your left side for a minute then back to your back.
